Dr. Edwin Crank Literacy Scholarships Fund
The Dr. Edwin Crank Literacy Scholarship Fund will give grants for college study to students who have earned their GED through the Jacksonville Literacy Council or a similar program. Preference will be given to students who enroll at Jacksonville College, but enrollment in other schools can be considered. Applications are being accepted now.

Jacksonville Tennis Association
The Jacksonville Tennis Association gives college scholarships to high school seniors who have played on their school's tennis team. To qualify, students must be recommended by their coaches, have been admitted to a college, and have a good conduct record. It is not necessary that the tennis player have won awards or plan to play on a college team. Applications for scholarships should apply by April 15th of the school year.

Jacksonville Literacy Council
English As a Second Language (ESL) are offered FREE to anyone who wants to read, write, and speak in English. A Beginning level class is offered at 10:00 AM Tuesdays at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. An Intermediate level Classes meets at 10:00-11:30 AM Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Literacy Council office. All classes have open enrollment all year long.

The Children's Advocacy Center serves children ages 3 through 17 who have been victims of physical and/or sexual abuse or having witnessed a violent crime. All services are provided in a child friendly environment and are specifically designed to lessen the trauma to children. The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) provides advocacy for victims and their families, as well as ongoing support and counseling services to help move them toward recovery and healing.
